I enjoyed having a college student from Maryland spend the summer with me while she interned here in Colorado Springs. She is a wedding photographer, so she enjoyed spending time with many of my brides and admiring their gowns.
My middlest daughter, who lives here in Colorado, got married this summer! It was a very casual, intimate ceremony at their friends' cabin in the mountains, with her sister officiating and a small group of family and friends in attendance. Their 2 sons, ages 4 and 6, were happy to be both ring-bearers and flower boys :).
The most exciting event was the birth of my 4th grandbaby! My oldest daughter Beki and husband Jeremy, whom I visited in Niger almost 2 years ago, came home for a few months and gave birth to a baby girl. They are back in Niger now, and 4-month-old Kalli is already making friends around the world! I'm thinking about planning another trip out there next year...
My youngest daughter who lives in Canada with her husband and baby came to visit twice this summer - for one sister's baby shower and the other sister's wedding! Now that the wedding rush is past, I'm taking a little break and going to Canada to visit her family and celebrate her son's first birthday. I can hardly wait!
The week I return is already fairly well booked, and that Saturday my new puppy is coming to stay!
